Our brothers and sisters at Faith Lutheran have planned the day so there will be plenty of time for us to attend our 11:00 worship service at FPC and then join them for lunch at noon.

News from the Presbyterian Women
The Presbyterian Women will meet on Thursday, October 9 at 9:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. All women of the congregation are invited to participate in the new study and enjoy a time of fellowship. Lesson One will be led by Rev. Maggie Mossler, and hostesses for the meeting will be Shirley Calvert and Ellen Walden. If you have any questions, please contact Carol Williams. We are looking forward to an interesting study year!
ELDERATIONS - Louanne LeBourveau
At their September meeting, Session members:
Exchanged ideas with members of our church’s Pastor Nominating Committee. Noted that our committee members are Debbie Fulton, Jeannie Kesler, and Gary Williams; they work with three members from Faith Lutheran Church. Approved a budget for our members to use for PNC work.
Noted that the church’s men’s room update is almost complete.
Approved money to repair the Activities Building plumbing issue.
Heard that the first Wednesday supper is a fish fry on Sept. 12, and there will be a salad supper on Sept. 24. Many people have signed up to cook for our Wednesday suppers held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month.
Noted the need to bring bags of candy for our participation in the Nightmare on Main Street Halloween event which will be held Saturday, October 25, beginning at 6:00 (set up at 4:30).
Reminded members of the Day of Giving, November 4.
Heard that the next meeting of Mission Presbytery is Oct. 17, 18 in San Antonio.
Noted the August 26 death of Lee Archer.
