Attitude of Gratitude
As the leaves turn and the air grows crisp, November invites us into a season of reflection and gratitude. In a world that often rushes past the sacred in pursuit of the urgent, this month offers us a holy pause — a chance to remember, to give thanks, and to prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ.
We give thanks for the saints who have gone before us, whose faith lit the path we now walk. We give thanks for the harvest of blessings— seen and unseen—that God continues to provide. And we give thanks for one another, the living body of Christ, gathered in worship, service, and love.
This month, as we mark All Saints’ Day, Veterans Day, and Thanksgiving, we are reminded that gratitude is not just a feeling—it’s a practice. It’s the daily choice to see God’s hand in the ordinary, to name the good even in seasons of struggle, and to respond with generosity and joy.
With praise and thanksgiving, we await the arrival of our new minister and the beginning of a new chapter in the life of our church. Again, we are reminded that gratitude is not just a feeling—it’s a practice. It’s the daily choice to see God’s hand in the ordinary, to name the good even in seasons of struggle, and to respond with generosity and joy.
Let us also look ahead with hope. Advent begins soon, and with it, the promise that light shines in the darkness, and the darkness shall not overcome it. May our worship, our prayers, and our shared life together be a beacon of that light in our community.
With a grateful heart and deep affection,
