It Takes a Village
How many Presbyterians (plus some friends) does it take to pull off a “Fix-It-Yourself” Baked Potato Supper?
And that’s just one evening! Just think about all the things we get done for our church, our community, and our world! The only thing we had missing was more people to come and enjoy the delicious food and the wonderful fellowship!

LENTEN LUNCHEONS
The annual Margaret Moser Memorial Lenten Luncheon Series is held on the five Tuesdays of Lent, which began this year on March 11 at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church. To make reservations for each Tuesday, you will need to call their church office at (361)358-2730 by the Thursday before each luncheon, so the cutoff for the March 11 luncheon will be Thursday, March 6 and so on. Our Presbyterian Women will host on March 18, and our own Jon Fischer will be the guest speaker.

MISSION STATEMENT
The First Presbyterian Church of Beeville is called to honor God through: Christ-centered worship, fellowship, outreach, and service encompassing the whole people of God.

At their March meeting, Session members:
Approved the baptism of Quinn Davis Garza, infant daughter of Marty and Sarah Garza – date TBD.
Noted that Mary Joy will coordinate with Presbyterian Women to create a new church yearbook.
Moved the March 12 Wednesday supper to March 5 to coincide with the Ash Wednesday service.
Heard that we will have the Ash Wednesday service on March 5, and the Maundy Thursday service on April 17.
Noted that St. Philip’s will begin their Lenten Luncheon series on Tuesday, March 11. Our Presbyterian Women will host the luncheon on Tuesday, March 18, and Jon Fischer will be the speaker.
Approved proceeding with gaining information about sharing a pastor with Faith Lutheran. Susan Searcy and Gary Williams will work to coordinate the findings.
Elected Gary and Carol Williams by email to serve as our Commissioners to the March Presbytery meeting.
Noted the February 7 death of Martha Iris Gill Goodman.
Words from the Women
The Presbyterian Women's Circle will meet on March 13 at 9:30 in the church Fellowship Hall. Members are asked to read Lesson 6, “Climate Change” in this year's study book, Let Justice Roll Down. All women will participate in the lesson together. As always, all women of the congregation are invited to attend the monthly Circle meeting.
